Disappointed there was not a single place to get a drink, cup of tea, food afterwards. Especially as some of us had been there since 5.30am. Not ideal for spectators either.
The aquabike finished in T2 as opposed to a short run to the finish line where we could of handed in our chip and received a drink at the finish instead.
The refreshments was a big let down as it would be difficult to recommend others to come and watch .
Aside from this I throughly enjoyed the aqua bike. Course was well marshalled and easy to follow. Registration simple. Enough toilets and no ridiculous queues as races were staggered.
Nice swim start numbers and not too over crowded.
I did witness some big packs cycling together on the bike and no drafting Marshall’s. Although it was a narrow course and a lot of cyclists .

John does a lot for the local multi-sport community and does it with huge amounts of enthusiasm. The sheer logistics involved in a day like this is immense so the fact that the day happens at all is amazing. I love the sheer flexibility of all the different variations of events laid on, and the fact that there are various children's races shouldn't be overlooked - that is rare and brilliant. The support and marshalling is fab too.

A tea/coffee/snack bar would have been great for those of us staying for the juniors after our races. Very friendly marshals and lots of help available if needed.

Its really good to do a traffic-free cycle. Its a good event for spectators and supporting families

Ideal for first timers and those who want to pb as the course is fast

Seemed to be longer queue's to register than usual

Was very hot on the run and could have done with a second water station. Also those staffing the water station to be a bit more aware of the dangers of overdoing it in hot weather and making sure people were pouring water over their heads to cool down as well as drinking it.

Love the traffic free bike course with lots of other competitors around you.

On such a hot day, it would have been nice to have a water station on the far side of the run course - but that's a minor quibble. Well organised, superb value race

The numbers were increased this year and it caused a few problems. It wasn't apparent in the senior races but was so in the junior races as the juniors were running and cycling on areas with many spectators spectating or walking across in front of the competitors. There needs to be a larger spectator area that competitors don't enter whilst racing. Also, I was disappointed there was not more in the way of catering. I was so looking forward to a bacon roll!
There did seem to be a few timing issues which surprised me. A member of my triathlon club was first in the first of the Sprint waves but did not feature in the final results! When he obtained his time chit after he had finished, it was all wrong and suggested he had take over 20 minutes to complete the swim. He was first out of the water and would have completed it in around 13 minutes.
My overall comment is "well done and thank you" to John and the rest of the team, again.

Registration queues are the only damper on the event. Although really efficient the queues seem to become a problem. I remember this from the event I completed 2015.
