Thanks for putting on a great event
Really nice event with some heart.
Well organised event with friendly people
Relaxed but competitive
Top marks to the marshalls, helpers and organisers on a very cold day
Well run event
Great event
Very friendly
Great early season race, well organised event!
My first duathlon but DNF
It was my first duathlon attempt. The experience was really good but I wasn’t prepared for this event only managed 1/2 duathlon. #DNF. But I will come back again and finish it
very welcoming event; great course, friendly organisers and competitors
Fantastic race, really nice venue, highly recommended.
Very good....
This was my first dualthlon and the organisers were very helpful in making sure I was sorted and Answered any questions I had...
Thank you for your help and patience, and I will be back!
Very good atmosphere
Good technical course
Fast technical bike section on a safe beginner friendly track.
Very enjoyable
Fab if tight and technical bike course
Brilliant atmosphere, despite the weather!
It would be better to have medals for every finisher rather than t-shirts.
A timing mechanism which checked everyone did the right number of laps would be reassuring.
Will be back!
Low key, friendly and informal race, but missing many of the benefits you might hope for in a race setting
This was a very friendly, informal and low key race, which was well organised. However, many of the benefits of a race situation were missing, such as chip timing, formal results or medals for finishers. I would rather have had a medal or a mug, than a cotton tee-shirt.
Whilst out of the organiser's control, the weather conditions were such that I think the event organisers should have considered cancelling the event, or at least cutting the length of the bike leg, to keep competitors safe.
Lap courses just don't work without timing chips
Leaving counting laps uptown the athlete with no independent checks just doesn't work. 6 minutes on average for a lap and somebody who you start biking with finished 18 minutes in front of you, means they lapped you three times - when you only see them again once..???
Swap the cotton t-shirt for chip timing - weather atrocious so people were always going to come in a lap or so early.
Great technical track, excellent value for money.
Run 1 was quite short. If possible, I would recommend existing the first lap back to the transition area, which should make the full 10km.
